About our hardware
Our designers and multimedia developers are Macintosh based. Macintosh platformed equipment offers the most efficient arena for the development of high-end computer graphics and motion applications. Our hardware leases are structured to allow us to take advantage of any advancing technology.

We also utilize several IBM platformed computers for two reasons. 1. To cross-platform all our multimedia applications due to the fact that over 90% of our end-users utilize this platform. 2. To beta test our multimedia applications across a variety of operating systems (both Mac and PC), operating speeds, and Internet browsers.

About our software
If there is an update to a piece of software we own, we buy the update. We learned long ago the advantages of keeping our software fresh. If there is a new application available that can enhance our ability to offer a new twist on our marketing tools, then we will purchase and educate ourselves on that product.

NKD subscribes to numerous informative software newsletters, magazines, etc., and purchases priority technical support packages in order to get 24 hour support for most of our software applications.

 

 

The value of keeping up-to-date with technology
Keeping abreast of new or emerging technology results in new marketing tools for our clients. For example, the introduction of virtual reality allows manufacturers to offer 360º views of their products and gives realtors the ability to take prospective buyers on tours of listed homes. Another example is the embedding of HTML files into e-mail windows, which allows clients to send high-impact messages to specific customers, quickly and inexpensively. (We call these mini-ads e-bang!s.)

At NKD, we are constantly monitoring and evaluating new technology with the intention of utilizing it to add value to our clients’ businesses.
